an effort to significantly minimize my ecological footprint. October 18th - October 25th.


easy ways to minimize your ecological footprint:

  1. use less paper by printing less or printing more efficiently (double-sided) and by re-using junk mail and receipts. 
  2. reduce the amount of plastic you waste by using Tupperwear and reusable drinking cups. 
  3. use less energy by unplugging small appliances, turning off the lights, using more energy efficient light bulbs and turning down the A/C. 
  4. use less water by taking shorter, chiller showers. (hot showers waste water in taking time to heat up, and are less beneficial to your skin than cool showers).
  5. carpool with another person, ride a bike, or take a walk!
  6. moderate your accelerations, driving at a steady speed and making sure not to idle in your car. 
  7. buy local produce and food. 
  8. re-gift, create, or buy items second hand.
